The best part is, you can make changes to these builds to create something entirely your own. That should be the one and only consequence for a character dying. We've put together our favorite builds for the mid-to-late game, when you've amassed a collection of cards capable of conquering all comers. **If they’re useless, then don’t allow them to be drawn/redrawn.** Losing a character and their contributions to the strategy is hard enough. But if you don’t, the dead character’s cards do nothing but take up space - this punishes the player twice!!!! Not only is the player down a character, they also have to deal with a hand of cards that gets exponentially more difficult to use with each additional dead character. The only reason why they’re there, that I can see, is *if* you happen to have a revive kit. When a character dies, their cards are still drawn/redrawn, and they are useless. Probably an uncommon bug, but it was an annoying experience nonetheless.Ī) I have noticed times when a full hand of cards covers up an enemy, which isn’t game breaking, but it is an annoyance when I’m trying to track enemy hp, etc.ī) UPDATE: This should be your first priority fix. After battle was over, the card went away. There was nothing I could do about it, had to finish the battle with it stuck there. Somehow the repair vile card got “stuck” zoomed-in in the middle of the battlefield, obstructing my view. It was difficult to go back to the main battle screen from the items screen. Ran into a bug: went to play a repair vile while in combat, then decided not to. Standard card rpg mechanics, with fun combo twists. All in all, it’s a must play.Ĭharming, with fresh art direction. Short game, not much post game content other than colosseum and rising difficulty. There should be a skip button to skip the entire scene altogether and move directly into the fight. An installment in the SteamWorld series, the game is set to be released for Windows PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Series S in 2023. If there is one thing I would recommend to change is the two finger tap to skip. SteamWorld Build is an upcoming city-building dungeon crawling video game developed by The Station and published by Thunderful Publishing. I also found the character interactions in the form of dialogue sarcastic and humorous. The plot and the characters are important however, I value battle mechanics and pacing more. The turn based system where cards are drawn or shuffled to execute commands is an entirely new concept. The battle mechanics is fun, addictive and unique. Now the story might be too cliche and I understand there is hardly any exploration since the game is more chapter wise divided into several acts, but where the game shines and separates its self from other competitors is in the battle mechanics. Without sugar coating with further superlatives, just one phrase will suffice to wrap up my thoughts on this game -“Top tier”.
